FITNESS FRIDAY

     

1. Wear a Helmet. Make sure to get a solid helmet that fits correctly. This is extremely important for any type of bike riding.

2. Use Hand Signals. Hand signals tell drivers and pedestrians where you intend to go…similar to a turn signal! Signal as a courtesy to drivers, but also for your protection.

3. Dress for the Weather. Be sure to dress in layers so you can adjust to temperature changes. Be sure to wear bright colored clothing so you stand out to drivers.

4. Keep Your Bike in Good Condition. Adjust your bike to fit you and keep it working properly. Be sure to check your brakes and tires regularly. Routine maintenance is simple and you can learn to do it yourself.

5. Have Fun!! Biking is a great lifetime sport. It allows you to get out and explore your city while getting in a good workout!
